Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineering Technician in Austin, TX to keep the production line running. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, you will set up processing equipment, monitor line performance, and support process development.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree and 1+ year manufacturing experience, with strong data recording and problem-solving skills. 1st shift hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, vocational or technical training, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of related experience in Manufacturing.
• Demonstrates functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
• Leadership experience.
• Automated equipment work (Preferred).
• PCBA/SMT (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs set‑up of processing equipment.
• Monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators.
• Processes test runs and prepares records (breakdown events, scrap, etc.), charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
• Provides technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
• Line change configuration.
• Performs corrective maintenance.
• Follows escalation procedures.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer the Process Engineering Technician will be responsible for keeping the production line running.
Shift – 1st Shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
What a typical day looks like:
