Job summary

Flex is seeking a skilled technician to repair and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies in our manufacturing operation in Austin, TX. This role is on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:15pm, Monday-Friday) and involves diagnosing failures, operating test equipment, and supporting cross-functional teams.

• Handles units with workmanship or technical errors.
• Operates electronic test equipment and conducts required tests.
• Analyzes software, test, protocol, and script logs to diagnose test failures.
• Verifies causes for failures and decides on repair or retest.
• Provides technical assistance and guidance to other staff and departments.
• Collaborates with engineers on functionality issues and procedure updates.
• Assists with installation, debugging, and validation of process equipment.
• Follows safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions.

• Troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.
• Handles units that may have workmanship or technical errors.
• Operates electronic test equipment and conducts special tests as required.
• Analyzes software, test, protocol, and script logs to diagnose and verify reason for test failure.
• Verifies causes for failures and determines whether to send for repair or retest.
• Provides technical assistance, feedback, and guidance to other technical personnel and departments.
• Collaborates with engineers on functionality issues and procedure updates.
• Assists with the installation, debug, and validation of process equipment.
• Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
