Job summary

Rausch Sturm LLP seeks an Associate Attorney to litigate creditor’s rights matters across Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, Lubbock, Midland, and El Paso. The position reports to the State Managing Attorney and emphasizes risk analysis and strategy in debt-collection matters.

Ideal candidates hold a JD and Texas bar, with litigation and discovery experience, and can independently manage hearings, filings, and rapid priorities in a hybrid role.

Qualifications

• Requires a JD in law and Texas bar admission.
• Background in litigation, with experience in collection law or courtroom practice.
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, and TCPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represents clients in pre-suit and post-judgment matters.
• Reviews correspondence and determines filing strategy for lawsuits or motions.
• Handles discovery responses, hearings, and trials, including virtual appearances.
• Maintains risk analysis and strategic advice on legal and regulatory risk.
• Other duties as assigned.
