Mesirow is seeking an experienced Debt Capital Markets banker to join our Institutional Sales & Trading team in Chicago. The successful candidate will originate and execute debt financing opportunities, develop senior-level issuer relationships, and help expand our presence across targeted sectors and institutional markets.

Ideal candidate will have experience originating and executing private placement transactions, with exposure to REITs, real estate, and/or infrastructure.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in DCM with private placement experience.
• Strong track record of developing senior-level issuer relationships (CIOs/CFOs).
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for financial modeling and presentations.

Aufgaben

• Originate, structure, and execute private placement and other debt capital markets transactions.
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with issuers, including CIOs, CFOs, treasurers, and other key decision-makers.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across existing and prospective issuer relationships.
• Advise clients on capital structure, financing alternatives, market conditions, transaction execution, and investor considerations.
• Lead transactions from origination through structuring, marketing, negotiation, and closing.
