Job summary

Goldman Sachs in New York is seeking an Associate on the Global Banking & Markets desk to structure, analyze, and execute transactions for the private placement syndicate team. The role involves coordinating deal teams, running due diligence, and negotiating NDAs and financial terms with lawyers and financiers.

The successful candidate will review proprietary financial models and analyses, support senior bankers, and build long-term client relationships in debt capital markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or related field.
• Two years of experience in financial transactions or private placement.
• Experience with structured finance products and reviewing credit agreements, indentures, and related documents.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, projections, and models prepared for clients.

Responsibilities

• Structure, analyze, and execute transactions for the private placement syndicate desk.
• Oversee financing live deal execution, including due diligence and NDA negotiations.
• Draft and review financial terms of legal documents with lawyers and financiers.
• Coordinate deal teams' work product, including financial modeling and presentations.
• Develop long-term client relationships and senior-level dialogue on debt capital markets topics.
