Job summary

University of Houston-Downtown seeks a new Dean of the College of Sciences and Technology. The Dean will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer, providing strategic, operational, and visionary leadership to advance the college's mission within the UHD system.

The expected start date is January 4, 2027. The Dean will report to the provost, guide program quality, student success, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, and uphold university policies.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an accredited STEM field.
• 7+ years of related experience, including at least 5 years as a formal academic leader.
• Experience leading a college or department or similar academic unit.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief academic and administrative officer for CST.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to advance UHD's priorities.
• Oversee budget, faculty, and student success initiatives.
