Wayland Baptist University is seeking a Dean for the School of Business at the Plainview campus. The Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer, guiding both undergraduate and graduate programs and reporting to the Provost/VPAA.

The role includes program development, accreditation activities, budgeting, and faculty supervision across campuses. Teaching twelve hours annually and advancing student success align with the university’s Christian mission.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in a business-related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Experience in higher education leadership and teaching.
• Ability to lead accreditation, assessment, budgeting, and planning processes.
• Willingness to advance Christian higher education mission and integrate faith principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for undergraduate and graduate business programs with associate deans.
• Oversee program development, assessment, and curricular revisions.
• Lead faculty supervision, workload, scheduling, and professional development.
• Direct institutional effectiveness, accreditation efforts (ACBSP/SACSCOC), and EFQ documentation.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets and resources for the School of Business.
• Represent the School in university committees and external engagements.
