Job summary

VCU School of Dentistry invites applications for the position of Assistant / Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Development, a Teaching and Research Faculty role located in Richmond, VA. • Master's or terminal degree in a field related to academic administration.
• 3–5 years in higher education or faculty affairs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead faculty affairs and development programs aligned with policies and accreditation.
• Oversee onboarding, appointment, promotion, tenure processes and evaluation.
• Collaborate with chairs, HR, and leadership to foster an equitable, high-performing environment.
• Provide data-driven insights on demographics, workload, and development needs.
