Job summary

Cchemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon, seeks a Dean of Advanced Technology and Applied Learning to provide strategic leadership across horticulture, workforce development, electronics, robotics, automation, and the BAS in Leadership and Management.

The Dean oversees program planning, budgets, grants, and partnerships, guiding faculty and staff to align with industry needs and regional economic priorities while advancing student success and workforce opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, Social Science or a related degree.
• Three (3) years of supervision, management or progressively related experience to include budget and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for planning, implementation, and maintenance of the academic programs.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate staff and faculty.
• Effectively manages multiple grants related to the academic program and large scale projects.
• Serves as a member of department, division, academic council, and college wide management teams; serves on task forces, hiring committees and other groups as needed.
• Provides leadership and represents the division through participatory management, team-building and problem-solving.
• Builds and leads effective teams to support instructional and service missions; ensure compliance with policies and negotiated agreements.
• Contributes to the college’s diversity plan and fosters cooperation among students, staff and the public.
• Administers policies and procedures; upholds accreditation and bargaining agreements.
• Oversees budget development and stewardship, resource allocation and financial accountability.
