Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking a Dean of Students focused on success, safety and wellbeing at Proviso West High School. The role partners with the principal to lead interventions, supports student wellness, and promotes positive behavior across the campus.

The Dean will guide restorative practices, MTSS initiatives and collaboration with counselors, security and teachers to maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher is required.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a high school endorsement.
• Five years of successful high school teaching and leadership experience.
• Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead restorative practices and MTSS initiatives with the admin team.
• Oversee student behavior, attendance and academic success.
• Collaborate with Principal, APs and security for campus safety.
• Develop, implement and monitor MTSS and restorative interventions.
• Coordinate staff communication and family engagement strategies.
• Supervise staff and participate in district committees as needed.
