Position Title: Dean of Students - Student Completion (Reg FT)

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time

Department: Student Services

Campus: Main Campus

Salary Grade: Admin 19 - $91,314

Remote Work Option: Fully In-Person (may be subject to change)

General Summary: Lead administrator for student engagement, success, advocacy and completion initiatives, providing strategic vision and direction for services, resources, and activities that support student navigation throughout the college experience at CCAC.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in student services administration, educational administration, management, or closely related field required; doctorate preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in enrollment and retention management, student success, advocacy, engagement, and/or completion, preferably for a multi‑campus college.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience providing supervision and leadership to student services staff within a community college environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in research and application of data and technology to achieve college outcomes.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to travel to all campuses/centers as needed, serving as back‑fill and representative at public and private events while housed at a specific campus.
  • Availability for some evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Duties
  1. Provide leadership for development and implementation of policies, programs, and student support services in assigned strategic areas.
  2. Ensure consistent implementation of the student experience across the college.
  3. Set standards and direction for inclusive initiatives, programs, and services that contribute to student learning and success within approved budget guidelines.
  4. Work with student affairs staff, student groups, and other college members to develop extracurricular programming that integrates with academic life and encourages personal growth.
  5. Collaborate with and facilitate initiatives with college‑wide stakeholders, including academic leadership, key administrators, faculty, and staff.
  6. Lead and be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and regulations pertaining to student engagement and services.
  7. Assist in coordinating student services assessment activities.
  8. Respond to referrals from faculty or students needing basic needs support, academic assistance, or counseling.
  9. Engage the external community by participating in activities in leadership positions.
  10. Manage multiple priorities to drive outcomes in a fast‑paced, complex environment.
  11. Provide direct supervision, leadership, and professional development support for assigned staff and programme areas.
  12. Prepare capital and operating budget proposals for submission to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services and Student Affairs.
  13. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Strategic Area of Responsibility Expectations – Student Completion
  1. Lead and direct the Student Completion team to guide and support students through program completion.
  2. Supervise and coordinate completion functions (Academic Advising, ACT101, KEYS, Career Services, Job Readiness) college‑wide.
  3. Serve as co‑lead and manage affiliated technology (e.g., Navigate360, Modern Campus, Student Planning, Maxient, Signal Vine).
  4. Streamline completion processes, policies, and initiatives to align with other student affairs departments and instruction, maximizing completion results.
  5. Provide leadership for development and consistent implementation of completion initiatives that support the college’s strategic plan.
  6. Use data analysis and business intelligence to develop completion strategies and inform planning.
  7. Collaborate effectively with Enrollment Management, Student Engagement, Student Success, and Student Advocacy teams, administrative leaders, faculty, and staff.
