Job summary

Belmont Charter Network is seeking a Dean of Students to uphold the Code of Conduct and support teachers in fostering a positive, structured school culture. This 10-month, full-time role centers on student well-being, restorative practices, and consistent communication with families.

The Dean will work with school leaders to implement a district-wide culture plan, coordinate celebrations, monitor discipline data, and partner with staff to ensure a joyful, safe environment aligned with Belmont’s

Qualifications

• Experience in an urban school setting.
• Experience managing and implementing school wide culture systems.
• Clearances: PA State Police Act 34, Child Abuse History Act 151, FBI Act 114, Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Act 168.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and be visible in hallways and classes.
• Collaborate with leaders, teachers, families to implement a school culture plan.
• Plan and lead weekly/monthly student and family celebrations.
• Support student behavior management and restorative conversations.
• Analyze discipline data to identify needs and inform supports.
• Mediate conflicts between students and staff to maintain harmony.
• Engage families to strengthen sense of community within the school.
• Lead character development and social-emotional learning activities.
• Serve on the School Culture Team and contribute to policy effectiveness.
• Attend meetings and participate in professional development.
