Job summary

The Dean of Students role at KIPP Texas Public Schools leads a structured, achievement-driven culture across campuses. The role focuses on behavior interventions, student support, and family partnerships to ensure every student thrives academically and personally.

The ideal candidate shows strong leadership, exceptional communication, and experience guiding teachers through restorative practices and data-driven improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting.
• Experience leading teachers or teacher leaders to improve academic and culture outcomes.
• Experience implementing restorative practices including PBIS and SEL.
• Familiarity with TEA compliance requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of the School Leadership Team and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Provide input on student behavior, discipline, and school culture decisions.
• Support alignment of vision and values across programs and activities.
• Attend regional training and adapt strategies to campus needs.
• Lead and participate in school culture and behavior management training.
• Engage families and community to strengthen home-school partnerships.
