Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a Dean of Academics to lead instructional excellence at Archway Scottsdale. The role partners with the Headmaster to align curricula, monitor student performance, and implement school-wide intervention strategies.

The Dean collaborates with families, faculty, and staff to sustain high academic expectations across subjects, supports teacher development, and ensures compliance with educational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree at minimum.
• At least 2 years of prior teaching experience or equivalent experience in the field required.
• Strong understanding of the Great Hearts curriculum across multiple subjects and grade levels.
• Experience with instructional coaching and development of teachers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors student performance according to grade level, subject area, and teacher.
• Collaborates with faculty and parents to improve academic performance of at-risk students with intervention plans.
• Communicates with students and parents about academic performance and progress.
• Develops and implements school-wide intervention programs and curricular alignment.
• Coordinates with Great Hearts leadership on academic and instructional matters as needed.
• Tracks standardized and benchmark test scores and advises strategies for score improvement.
