Job summary

Tri-County Career Center in Nelsonville, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Principal / Dean of Students to oversee daily high school operations and maintain a safe, productive learning environment. The role includes PBIS leadership and active supervision of the Attendance Team for monthly reporting to reduce chronic absenteeism.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Educational Administration with Ohio licensure, OTES certification (or eligibility), and at least five years of teaching experience;

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Educational Administration or related field.
• Valid Ohio administrative licensure (Principal/Assistant Principal or equivalent).
• OTES certification or immediate eligibility to obtain it.
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience; admin/supervisory preferred.
• Experience in Career-Technical Education (CTE) or workforce training valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day high school operations to ensure a safe, productive learning environment.
• Lead Attendance Team and monthly attendance reporting to reduce chronic absenteeism.
• Manage student discipline and implement behavior interventions.
• Coordinate parent/teacher conferences and PBIS with Student Services.
• Provide instructional and staff support in OTES evaluations and substitute coordination.
• Supervise emergency drills and oversee lunch, events, and extracurricular activities.
