LOCATION: This position will serve Gates Elementary School and Central Elemetary School with equal time at both locations.
WORK YEAR: 205 days
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicant will:
- Hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate and have 3-5 successful years of teaching
- Have Administrative Certification or formal leadership training
- Hold a current CPI Certification or be willing to obtain
- Have experience in administrative or leadership role
- Have working knowledge of current instructional, technology and engagement strategies
- Have a strong desire to work with at-risk and diverse students and their parents
- Be willing to work as part of a team to improve student learning, attendance, behavior, social emotional well-being and overall student character and performance
- Be open to continuous change and development
- Be an excellent communicator
- Exhibit emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for meeting the requirements of the position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support day-to-day operations of the building's programs,administer student discipline, and monitor student attendance
- Establish steps and procedures to handling challenging students and standards for conduct
- Communicate to parents, teachers, and staff regarding infractions of the code of conduct, academic integrity or other policiies

SALARY: Salary commensurate with applicable experience and training
