Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Draper, UT, is seeking a Dean of Nursing to provide accountable leadership for its academic programs, partnerships, and campus management. You will ensure teaching excellence, student engagement, and success in compliance with accreditation standards and the college’s mission.

The role requires a graduate degree in nursing (doctorate preferred), at least five years in senior-level higher education with nursing practice, and strong strategic, budgeting, and governance

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred.
• Five (5) years of progressive, senior-level experience in higher education preferred; demonstrated excellence in teaching and clinical practice in nursing.
• Demonstrated success in development of community relationships; budgeting; communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the campus' academic programs and governance.
• Direct and supervise all academic aspects of the campus.
• Develop and monitor strategic curriculum delivery and program outcomes.
• Secure funding to support educational initiatives and resources.
• Ensure faculty resources and professional development; support program directors.
• Lead policy development for students, aligned with college and accreditation standards.
• Oversee accreditation-related curriculum review and governance representation.
• Participate in Professional Advisory Committee activities.
