Job summary

Austin Achieve Public Schools seeks an instructional leader to directly coach RLA and Social Studies teachers, strengthen instructional practice, and oversee goal-setting and long-range planning.

You will observe classrooms regularly, provide actionable feedback, facilitate data meetings, collaborate with content teams, and ensure scholars meet ambitious performance goals while upholding the school's mission and commitment to equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience.
• Thorough understanding of curriculum, instruction, and pedagogy.
• A proven track record of performance in scholar achievement.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and coach RLA and Social Studies teachers to strengthen instructional practice.
• Lead and oversee RLA and Social Studies instructional goal-setting and long-term planning.
• Observe classrooms regularly and provide targeted, actionable feedback that drives measurable improvement.
• Coach teachers to develop clear and consistent instructional classroom expectations, routines, and methods.
• Ensure that every teacher shows achievement gains to ensure that scholars meet ambitious performance goals.
• Lead weekly data meetings, unit planning meetings, and coaching check-ins with teachers and content teams to ensure rigor and alignment.
