Job summary

San Diego College of Continuing Education seeks a Dean of ESL to lead the ESL Services program at our Continuing Education sites. This 1.0 FTE, 12-month academic position reports to the Vice President and manages faculty and staff.

The role requires a Master’s degree and leadership experience in higher education; the incumbent will oversee program development, budgets, and coordination with district offices. The position is exempt and benefits include medical, dental, and vision.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• One year of formal leadership or administrative experience in higher education.
• Possession of a CA Chief Administrative Officer credential or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, manage and evaluate ESL programs and services.
• Direct budget development, monitoring and reporting for the ESL Services unit.
• Supervise faculty and staff, including evaluations and professional development.
• Represent the program with internal and external stakeholders and committees.
