Denver Public Schools is seeking a Dean of Culture to supervise coordinators of school events, ensure a positive climate, and support equitable student outcomes across the district. The role emphasizes collaboration with school leadership, families, and the community to foster an inclusive environment where all students thrive.

The position requires a DPS Dean Certification within two years, a special education and/or gifted certification, and at least three years as an educator focused on

• Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• DPS Dean Certification to be obtained within two years of hire.
• Special Education certification and/or Gifted and Talented certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years experience as an educator, including work with teachers and school leaders on behavior management and school climate.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively reviews and manages student achievement data to identify student needs and recognize achievement.
• Develops a vision for school culture in collaboration with leaders and community.
• Oversees programs for differentiated student groups including special education and gifted and talented.
• Develops differentiated reward and intervention programs for student and teacher culture.
• Ensures adherence to policies of student intervention programs.
• Maintains communication with administrators, teachers, students, families, and community to articulate school culture norms.
• Establishes systems for collecting and tracking school culture metrics and analyzes trends.
• Facilitates staff professional development to enforce school culture.
• Coordinates support staff for student programs and services; may liaise with administrators, teachers, families, and community.
• Conducts regular walk-throughs to support accountability to culture norms and hosts office hours.
