Job summary

BYU Continuing Education seeks a visionary Dean to provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for lifelong learning initiatives, expanding access, and building relationships across BYU and the Church. You will guide governance, budget, and personnel decisions while upholding BYU standards.

The role requires a doctorate, 10+ years of higher education leadership, and a track record of program excellence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required; higher education leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and personnel management.
• Strong ability to build partnerships with university administration, CES, and affiliated church institutions.

Responsibilities

• Set mission, vision, and strategy for BYU Continuing Education.
• Foster relationships with BYU administration, CES, and Church leadership to support initiatives.
• Oversee program excellence, policy compliance, and governance of Continuing Education.
• Provide resources and support for staff training, growth, and development.
• Approve annual budgets and ensure fiscally sound operations.
