Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution.
• Established record of excellent university teaching, scholarship and service.
• Academic leadership and management experience in higher education.
• Experience teaching and leading in PK-12 schools.
• Knowledge of higher education practices and trends.
• Experience with program and curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, values and Lutheran identity of Concordia University through college activities.
• Articulate a compelling vision for departments and graduate programs and translate into priorities and outcomes.
• Promote a productive work environment for staff and faculty.
• Provide oversight for education programs meeting Nebraska State Program Approval and national accreditation.
• Lead graduate and undergraduate program improvements, curriculum and assessment.
• Recruit, evaluate and develop faculty and plan succession in collaboration with chairs and provost.
• Ensure accreditation standards are met and external relationships are strengthened.
