Job summary

Metropolitan College of New York invites applications for the role of Associate Provost of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty. This senior academic leader reports to the EVP and directs curriculum quality, assessment, and faculty affairs to advance excellence and student success across the College.

The position is based on campus in the Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will hold a doctorate and have significant higher education leadership experience, with a track record in program review,

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution.
• Significant experience in academic administration in higher education.
• Leadership in curriculum development and program assessment.
• Experience managing faculty recruitment, evaluation, and development.
• Proven collaboration with faculty governance and staff.
• Strong knowledge of accreditation processes and quality assurance.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student success and inclusive learning.
• Experience at associate provost or dean level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with EVP & Provost to implement academic strategy and strengthen program quality.
• Lead curriculum design, revision, approval, implementation, and reviews.
• Oversee campus-wide academic assessment and program outcomes.
• Provide leadership for faculty recruitment, orientation, workload, and promotion policies.
• Support transparent governance and timely decision-making.
• Coordinate accreditation, program reviews, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with student-support and governance to improve outcomes.
• Evaluate new programs and modalities considering mission and resources.
• Oversee scheduling, calendars, and catalog content.
• Use data to identify priorities and guide resource allocation.
• Supervise assigned personnel and foster a service-oriented culture.
• Represent Academic Affairs on committees and external partnerships.
• Perform other duties as needed.
