Position Summary: The Dean for Academic Affairs serves as the senior academic administrator for an assigned department and provides leadership, supervision, strategic direction, and accountability for all instructional programs, personnel, resources, and academic operations within the department. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean for Academic Affairs ensures the delivery of high-quality instruction, continuous program improvement, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, student success, fiscal stewardship, workforce responsiveness, and alignment with institutional goals. The Dean for Academic Affairs is accountable for departmental performance outcomes, including enrollment, retention, graduation, licensure and certification attainment, placement, and program effectiveness. The Dean for Academic Affairs promotes a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, data-informed decision-making, and student-centered learning while serving as the primary advocate for departmental programs among internal and external stakeholders.
Position Description: The Dean for Academic Affairs ensures academic quality, regulatory compliance, and student success while promoting programs to internal and external stakeholders. General responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
The successful candidate may be required to travel to any Ogeechee Technical College location.
