Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) seeks a Dean for Business, Creative and Performing Arts. The role leads multiple instructional programs including Accounting, Business, Arts and Design, Music and Theater, and related disciplines.

Responsibilities center on strategic planning, budgeting, curriculum development, and fostering partnerships to advance student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in a discipline taught within the division.
• Five years of post-secondary teaching experience in a field represented within the Division.
• Three years of progressive academic administrative experience in a postsecondary institution.
• Experience with faculty supervision including performance evaluation.
• Experience in budget development and management.
• Experience with enrollment management, curriculum/program development, and assessment.
• Experience in building collaborative community/workforce education partnerships.
• Experience with programmatic accreditation and regulatory compliance processes.

• Provide divisional leadership that supports GTCC’s mission, vision and goals.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and manage assigned instructional programs, services, budget and division employees.
• Provide leadership in curriculum, academic assessment, strategic planning and budgeting.
• Employ enrollment management and retention strategies.
• Foster collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners to coordinate initiatives.

Includes the following instructional programs: Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management, Small Business Center, Cosmetology, Early Childhood Education, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality/Culinary, Paralegal, Entertainment Technology, Advertising & Graphic Design, Digital Media Technology, Transfer Art, Music and Theater.
