Lute Riley Honda in Richardson, TX seeks an Apprentice Service Technician to start a career in automotive service. The role provides mentorship from a Master Technician and hands-on repair/maintenance work as you progress.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by the team leader.
• Work with a mentor to acclimate to dealership operations and learn from the Master Technician.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs; call for guidance when needed.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep up with technical bulletins.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The Apprentice Service Technician must be a graduate of an automotive technician training school. The apprentice is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by their team leader.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The apprentice technician is assigned a 'Mentor' usually a Master Technician to assist him/her in acclimating to dealership operations in addition to sharing the Mentors technical knowledge. And assisting the apprentice as necessary.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Call upon your Mentor, Team Leader or Shop Foreman when you have a question or need assistance.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional service work is recommended.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred:

• At least 1-2 years of of dealership apprentice technician experience (a plus).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Honda/Acura (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
