Job summary

Ridgeway Automotive Complex in Memphis, TN seeks an experienced dealership accountant to handle daily accounting clerk duties, ensure timely processing and work with management on transaction processing.

The role offers an hourly wage commensurate with experience, plus PTO, health, dental, vision insurance and a 401k. Typical hours are Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with minimal overtime in a high-volume dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Dealership accounting experience required.
• Exceptional communication including email, telephone, and in-person contacts.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Handle the daily activities of a proven accounting clerk, ensure timely processing, work closely with management to effectively administer transaction processing.
• Verify and post general ledger transactions
• Reconciling bank statements with the general ledger
• Reconciling credit card statements
• Administering loan payments and securing loan funds
• Review and balance scheduled accounts and an analyze variances
• Participate in month-end close activities
