Job summary

Ridgeway Division in Memphis, TN seeks an experienced dealership accountant to manage daily accounting tasks in a fast-paced auto dealership environment. Two years of dealership accounting experience is preferred to ensure accuracy in GL postings and month-end close.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and familiarity with GAAP. Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed; benefits include PTO, health, dental, vision, and a 401k

Qualifications

• Dealership accounting experience required.
• Excellent communication skills (email, phone, in-person).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts, tax basics, and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced dealership.
• Verify and post general ledger transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger.
• Reconcile credit card statements and administer loan payments as needed.
• Participate in month-end close activities.

Handle the daily activities of a proven accounting clerk, ensure timely processing, work closely with management to effectively administer transaction processing.

• Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced dealership

• Review and balance scheduled accounts andanalyze variances
• Participate in month-end close activities

Job requirements:

• Dealership accounting experience required
• Self-starter that is upbeat and outgoing.
• Exceptional communication including email, telephone, and in-person contacts.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and generally accepted accounting principles.

Hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with minimal overtime.
