Job summary

CarGuys Inc. is seeking an Automotive Accounting Clerk to support a busy dealership office with daily financial tasks and accuracy-driven processes. This role focuses on timely journal entries, POS-reported activities, and precise vendor document handling.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, process credit card batches, reconcile banks and vendor statements, and assist the Controller with reporting. A solid automotive accounting background and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Automotive accounting experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with accounting software and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Daily journal entries using reports from POS system.
• Daily credit card batch processing and posting.
• Daily posting of vendor invoices and walk in check requests.
• Weekly posting of credit card charges.
• Weekly processing of accounts payable payments.
• Monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Monthly vendor statements and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist Controller with reports and research as needed.
