Job summary

Bergstrom Automotive in Madison, WI is seeking a part-time Dealer Trade Driver to support our dealership network with local vehicle transfers and handovers.

You will transport vehicles between Bergstrom locations, ensure proper loading and secure transport, and perform pre-trip inspections while maintaining accurate delivery records. The role offers casual hours with variable shifts, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, at $12.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission.
• Experience driving professionally is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically capable of inspecting and moving vehicles, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport vehicles between dealerships and locations.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded, secured, and transported without damage.

• Provide excellent guest service by being professional and courteous during vehicle handovers.
• Assist with light duties around the dealership, including moving vehicles within the lot.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport vehicles between dealerships and other locations as needed.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly loaded, secured, and transported without damage.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle conditions.

Schedule: Casual / As Needed

• Hours vary based on dealership needs and driver availability.
• Typical driving hours are Monday-Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays.
• Drivers are contacted in advance (typically one day or more prior) regarding available dealer trades.
• If unavailable, the assignment will be offered to the next available driver.
• Work volume may fluctuate - some weeks may include daily driving opportunities, while other weeks may have little to no scheduled work.

Pay of $12.00/hour

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
