Job summary

Integral dx is seeking a Dealer Development Specialist in Watertown, SD to recruit, train, and support a growing dealer network for our OEM equipment and attachments. The role focuses on expanding market reach, improving dealer performance, and ensuring adherence to company standards across locations.

You will work on dealer onboarding, training, and collaboration with internal teams to align objectives and drive market penetration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in dealer development, channel sales, business development, or field sales operations, preferable in large construction equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Combination of education and experience may qualify you for successful performance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, scout, and appoint new dealers or channel partners in assigned territories to optimize market coverage.
  • Execute company sales strategies at the dealer level focusing on ATD, Locomotive, and chassis dealerships for Redi-Mix trucks.
  • Monitor sales performance and achieve regional sales targets.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to staff and sales teams to enhance productivity and customer service.
  • Monitor dealer performance and drive monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Improve dealer profitability through business planning and guidance.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through dealer quality standards and onboarding dealers.

Dealer Development Specialist is a professional who focuses on recruiting, training, and supporting dealers or distributors for a company's products or services. The primary goal is to expand the dealer network, improve dealer performance, and ensure consistent application of company standards across all locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Dealer Network Expansion:
  • Identify, scout, and appoint new dealers or channel partners in assigned territories to optimize market coverage and vehicle or product distribution
Sales and Business Development:
  • Execute company sales strategies at the dealer level focusing on ATD dealerships, Locomotive dealerships, and chassis dealerships for Redi-Mix trucks
  • Monitor sales performance
  • Achieve regional sales targets
Dealer Support and Training:
  • Ensure that dealers are strategically located, and aligned with company goals, to ultimately drives revenue growth and market penetration
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to staff and sales teams to enhance productivity and customer service.
  • Support Dealers in problem resolution activities on machinery equipment, products, processes and performance metrics
  • Monitor dealer performance and drive monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Improve dealer profitability through business planning and guidance.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through dealer quality standards.
  • Dealership onboarding
Operational Oversight:
  • Ensure dealers comply with company policies
  • Manage infrastructure, manpower, and after-sales service
  • Maintain accurate reporting on sales and market trends
Market:
  • Assess dealership viability, monitor market share, and plan for industry volume and market size to maintain competitive positioning
  • Strengthen dealer network to improve market reach and sales.
Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as business development executives, finance, and marketing to align dealer operations with company objectives
  • Collaborate with Sales teams and Dealership leaders to improve dealer performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS:
  • Strong networking, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
  • Ability to travel extensively – 50 to 75% of time in role
  • Proficiency in managing dealer agreements, financial documentation, and commercial formalities
  • Extroverted, adaptable, and capable of building relationships across teams and levels
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • 3+ years in dealer development, channel sales, business development, or field sales operations, preferable in large construction equipment and industrial machinery
