Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Dealer Credit Analyst to assess the financial condition of dealerships and affiliated entities for new or extended credit and to provide sound underwriting recommendations. You will review monthly statements, advise on subordination, guarantees, and agreements, and maintain robust credit documentation.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of overall work experience in lending.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
• Accounting/Finance knowledge is required.
• Experience with wholesale credit or dealership credit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the financial condition of automobile dealerships and affiliated entities to extend or maintain credit.
• Perform monthly reviews of dealership financial statements and provide recommendations based on guidelines.
• Make recommendations on subordination, guarantees, and related agreements to protect the company.
• Maintain dealer document files and provide daily service to internal stakeholders.
• Review wholesale inventory and book audits and advise on issues.
• Communicate with Dealer personnel during credit request and maintenance process.
• Establish and maintain team spirit and coaching culture.
• Interact with internal customers including senior managers and regional managers.

Job Overview:

Analyze the financial condition of automobile and/or bodybuilder dealerships and affiliated companies of the dealership entities for the purpose of extending new lines of credit or continuing existing lines of credit. Analysis is accompanied by a recommendation to the appropriate level of credit authority.

Responsibilities:

Analyze the financial condition of automobile and/or bodybuilder dealerships and affiliated companies of the dealership entities for the purpose of extending new lines of credit or continuing existing lines of credit. Analysis is accompanied by a recommendation to the appropriate level of credit authority. 25%

Perform monthly reviews of dealership financial statements and make sound and reasoned recommendations to the Dealer Credit Manager based on guidelines established by Mercedes Benz and previous experience with the dealership. 25%

Make recommendations regarding subordination, guarantees, state legal requirements, UCC's and other forms or agreements which protect the interests of Mercedes Benz Financial Services. 10%

Prepare and maintain dealer document files in accordance with established procedure. 10%

Provide daily service to DRM's/RFM's, Region Managers, dealer personnel, and management regarding credit files, system issues, approvals/contingencies, documentation and financial statements. 10%

Review wholesale inventory and book audits and make recommendations to the Dealer Credit Manager on audit issues and exceptions. 10%

Communicate with Dealer personnel during all stages of the credit request and maintenance process including monthly financial statement reviews. 10%

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

Accounting - General (1 year)

Business - General (3 years comprehensive)

Credit - (3 years comprehensive)

Finance - General (1 year)

Education:

High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Recommended majors include:

• Accounting
• Business Administration
• Finance
• Mathematics
• Statistics

Additional Knowledge:

• 3-5 years prior credit experience in a lending environment preferred.
• Experience in Wholesale Audit preferred.
• Candidate should have a fundamental accounting and finance knowledge.

Skills:

• Analytical skills - Ability to collect and establish facts and identify trends and variances, Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity.

Additional Skills:

• Salesforce, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with Sopra DM, SFPW CAP Loan system, GeoFence, and/or CRD preferred.
