Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Corporate Development Deal Lead to own high-priority M&A and strategic transactions from evaluation through close. You will translate priorities into deal opportunities, build the business case for transactions, and drive cross-functional alignment with senior stakeholders.

This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role for someone who can lead complex transactions, partner with executives, and help build AI‑native systems and processes for Corp Dev.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience leading M&A or strategic transactions from start to finish.
• Strong analytical skills with commercial judgment and strategic insight.
• Comfort managing ambiguity and building process in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of corporate development transactions, including sourcing, diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, and closing.
• Track and interpret trends across AI and technology to provide high-impact insights for leadership.
• Proactively source acquisition opportunities by building relationships across venture and startup ecosystems.
• Partner with internal leaders to align OpenAI's priorities with external market intelligence.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, GTM and executives to evaluate deals.
