This hands‑on role requires strategic judgment, financial rigor, founder relationship‑building, and crisp execution, with cross‑functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, GTM, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience leading M&A or strategic transactions from start to finish across corporate development, private equity, IB, venture investing, or product.
• Deep experience analyzing emerging technologies and markets with founders, investors, and operators.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking with commercial judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of corporate development transactions (M&A, strategic investments) from sourcing through close.
• Track trends in AI, technology, and adjacent industries to deliver high-impact insights to OpenAI’s leadership.
• Source opportunities by building relationships across venture, startup, and incubator ecosystems.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, GTM, and executives to evaluate and advance deals.
• Build financial models, commercial cases, and decision-making frameworks for executives.
• Prepare and present deal materials to senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment.
