Job summary

Insight is seeking a Sr. Deal Desk Analyst to independently evaluate deal economics, build financial models, and advise Sales on optimal structures. You will assess margins, rebates, and payment terms, partnering with Finance to manage risk and ensure profitability.

The role offers strategic visibility with cross-functional collaboration and a path to higher responsibilities. Location is remote in the US, with preference for candidates near Chandler, AZ.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of direct Deal Desk experience with senior-level support.
• Experience in financial modeling, scenario analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel and strong quantitative analysis, incl. margins and rebates.

About the role

As a Deal Desk Analyst Sr, you will independently evaluate deal economics, customer value and competitive dynamics, develop financial business cases, and recommend alternatives that balance growth, profitability and risk. We will count on you to partner across functions to improve margin and deal velocity within established approval guardrails. The role offers strategic visibility and opportunities to own cross-functional improvements and develop leadership capabilities; it has no current people-management responsibility. Along the way, you will get to:

• Independently analyze complex, nonstandard deals and advise Sales and account teams on deal structures and alternatives that balance customer needs, growth and profitability.
• Build detailed financial models, scenarios and business cases covering gross and contribution margin, rebates, backend partner funding, costs and commercial terms.
• Evaluate payment terms, customer payment behavior and financial risk with Finance; explain assumptions, data gaps and sensitivities before recommending a course of action.
• Use cohort analyses, historical customer value, competitive dynamics and win-loss data to put deal economics in context.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
• 4+ years of direct Deal Desk experience, with demonstrated senior-level depth in independently supporting strategic, complex deal decisions, including financial modeling, scenario analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong quantitative analysis, with practical understanding of B2B pricing, gross and contribution margin, rebates, backend partner funding and payment-term implications.
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial findings and assumptions in concise executive presentations, exercise sound business judgment and recommend alternatives in ambiguous situations.

The base salary range for this position is typically $75,000 to $85,000 with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
