Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for a contract role supporting students in Riverside, CA. You will provide tailored instruction, advocacy, and an inclusive classroom experience to learners with hearing differences.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching credential with Deaf/Hard of Hearing authorization.
• Experience teaching or supporting Deaf or Hard of Hearing students.
• Knowledge of Deaf culture, language development, and communication modalities (ASL, auditory-oral, total communication).
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, families, interpreters, and related service providers.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to Deaf/HOH students, individually or in small groups.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and communication preferences.
• Monitor progress and participate in IEP meetings with measurable goals.
• Consult and collaborate with school staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion in all school activities.
• Offer resources, guidance, and advocacy for students and families.
• Maintain thorough records and documentation as required by state and federal guidelines.
