Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) seeks a Deaf Education Research & Accessibility Specialist to lead statewide professional learning, coaching, and resource development for deaf and hard of hearing students. The role coordinates with educators, BEESS, and partners to improve access and outcomes.

Responsibilities include providing technical assistance, attending meetings, and developing accessible materials and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
• Florida teaching certification in D/HH.
• Preferred: professional experience with deaf/hard of hearing students and sign language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver statewide professional learning for educators and interpreters.
• Provide coaching, consultation, and technical assistance to schools and districts.
• Travel statewide, including overnight travel, to support accessibility and educational materials.
