Bucks County Intermediate Unit is offering a two-year apprenticeship for a Post Baccalaureate Teacher of the Deaf. The program includes specialized training, Praxis exams, and student teaching to obtain the Hearing Impaired PK-12 certification in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field required.
• Supporting evidence of US work authorization may be required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and participate in delivery of evidence-based instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Assist with planning and implementing instructional activities aligned with IEP goals and state standards.
• Learn to assess student needs through formal and informal assessment measures.
• Collect and analyze student performance data for progress monitoring.
• Assist with development and implementation of IEPs in accordance with regulations.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning.
