Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to coordinate in-house programming, assessments, goal planning, and daily progress for residents. You will supervise records, participate in cross-program reviews, and ensure safety and high-quality care.

The role requires collaboration with clinicians, strong writing and advocacy, and travel as needed. You will support program policy execution, manage staff schedules, and ensure timely reporting on health and safety, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma with one year experience in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Special Ed., etc.) or related field required, Associate’s Degree preferred
• 1 year administrative experience
• 2 years minimum experience working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual disability (ID)
• AMAP, SCIP-R and First Aid/CPR Certified
• A Valid Driver’s License is required (Must be able to drive large vehicle which consists of wheel chair or 15 seater van)

Responsibilities

• Organize records and ensure they are up-to-date
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings/Staff meetings
• Create meeting agendas with Program Manager and plan standard agenda items
• Collaborate with consultants, especially Psychologist on programming
• Follow through on recommendations for U.R. committee
• Attend U.R. meetings when delegated
• Maintain health and safety records and reports for individuals and programs
• Ensure safety and quality of care and programming for individuals
• Coordinate transportation activities for day programming and medical appointments
• Ensure completeness of staff information for medical appointments
• Prepare Day Program progress reports
• Conduct monthly fire evacuation drills
• Assist in admission and discharge reviews
• Develop monthly recreation schedules
• Provide hands-on support for recreational activities
• Direct care as needed
• Work 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday (as assigned)
• Maintain readiness of essential job duties and records
