Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to coordinate in-house programming, assessments, goal planning, and daily progress reviews. The role requires travel, strong writing skills, and advocacy to connect individuals with needed services.

This position emphasizes safety, documentation, staffing, and collaboration with clinical consultants to provide holistic support for residents within the agency’s integrated care system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 1 year experience in Human Services; associate degree preferred.
• 1-year administrative experience.
• 2 years minimum experience with individuals diagnosed with ID.
• AMAP, SCIP-R and First Aid/CPR Certified.
• A Valid Driver’s License is required (Must be able to drive large vehicle which consists of wheelchair or 15-seater van).

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain records; ensure records are up to date.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings/Staff meetings.
• Collaborate with Program Manager to plan meetings and agendas.
• Coordinate with consultants, especially Psychologist, on programming.
• Follow through on recommendations for U.R. committee and attend meetings as delegated.
• Complete and maintain incident investigations and ensure safety compliance.
• Submit and review daily health and safety records and program quality.
• Coordinate transportation to maximize use of services for day programming.
• Direct care and staff supervision as assigned.
