Job summary

CMS Controls in North Carolina seeks a DDC Application Engineer to design, select materials, and develop design documents for BAS projects. This role supports project management, installation, programming, commissioning, and service teams to ensure cost-effective DDC solutions.

Responsibilities include preparing control drawings, BOMs, and submittal data; coordinating with project managers and sales; and maintaining design records throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering
• 2+ yrs. experience in Controls Applications Engineering with BAS/Temperature Control Systems preferred
• Advanced computer skills with Visio/CAD and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Select applicable building automation products and end devices per contract documents and defined scope.
• Create control drawings using Visio including flow diagrams, sequences of operation, BOMs, network layouts, schedules and schematics.
• Produce engineering documents for submittals and respond to RFIs needing design input.
• Provide engineering support to project management, installation, programming and commissioning teams.
• Maintain current design documents and complete project closeout documentation.
