Job summary

FALCATA in Huntsville, Alabama seeks an Assistant Facility Security Officer (Assistant FSO) to support the security program for defense-contracting work. You will help protect classified information, administer personnel-security processes, manage facility access controls, and maintain security records under the FSO.

Working under the FSO, you will interact with the DCSA, assist with security briefings, and ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of security experience in facility security, access control, and personnel security.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM and cleared defense-contractor security practices.
• Experience processing or supporting personnel clearances and maintaining records in DISS.

Responsibilities

• Support the FSO in administering the facility’s industrial security program.
• Coordinate personnel-security actions including clearance processing and access verification.
• Maintain security records and use government systems such as DISS.
• Administer physical access controls and badges; manage visitor handling.
• Assist with security education, inspections, and corrective actions.
