Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled PLC Technician in Cocoa, FL to maintain and optimize automated systems that support spacecraft design, manufacturing, and launch activities. The role involves troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, programming, and coordination with engineers to improve equipment reliability in a high-tech environment.

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Program, modify, and support PLC systems including Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
• Perform preventative maintenance on automated production equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, and productivity.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC‑controlled equipment, automated machinery, robotics, and industrial control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics, servo systems, and automated manufacturing equipment.

• Familiarity with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, SCADA, and HMI programming.

• Previous experience in aerospace, manufacturing, automation, or high‑tech production environments.

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime when needed to support critical operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
