Job summary

Tampa Electric seeks a DCS Engineer or DCS Maint Specialist to troubleshoot and maintain the station's DCS hardware/software (GE Mark VI, PLCs). The role spans Big Bend, Bayside, and Solar Energy Center, with responsibilities from back-ups to cyber security coordination.

The position involves implementing DCS logic, maintaining 3rd party software, and ensuring NERC compliance while collaborating with IT and process teams. Safety and training are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining plant DCS hardware/software and implementing DCS logic.
• Familiarity with GE Mark VI, ABB, and PLC-based controls.
• Understanding of cyber security and NERC compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain plant DCS/PLC control systems for reliability.
• Implement new DCS logic and modify existing logic as needed.
• Coordinate with IT for cyber security in the control networks.
• Maintain system records, diagrams, and alarm management.
• Provide technical support to maintenance staff and operations teams.
• Support budgeting and forecast for contractor manpower/costs.
