Job Description

We serve a global market with our MERACRYL methacrylates and PMMA molding compounds under the PLEXIGLAS brand (in the Americas registered under the trademark ACRYLITE), which we manufacture in our worldwide production network. The Process Controls Engineer will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and executing improvements and support for the DCS (Distributed Control System). This includes implementing DCS improvements in operator displays, alarm strategies, and control strategies. The role involves sharing responsibilities as DCS and enterprise historian administrator, maintaining and installing DCS/SIS software and hardware. The position will interact significantly with Operations, Maintenance, Turnaround Coordination, Project Engineering, and ESH. Additionally, developing and using best practices, training site operators on the Roehm Bay City Siemens PCS7 DCS and optimization applications will be part of the role. The position is based at the Roehm Bay City, Texas, MMA manufacturing facility.
