Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to manage and operate Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA across data centre projects in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on strategy, design, configuration and support for new builds and upgrades.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years with critical monitoring and control systems in critical facilities.
• Hands-on BMS and EPMS experience.
• Familiarity with chilled water plants, CRAHs and data centre power distribution.
• US citizenship (required for federal contracts).
• Able to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Keep DCIM systems protecting the facility, tracking power usage and capacity, and producing timely alarms and reports.
• Configure DCIM applications for new deployments, retrofits and new data requirements.
• Maintain documentation, test plans and change management records.
• Administer power provisioning, incident management and reporting processes.
• Coordinate field work and supervise contractors.
• Support testing and commissioning, and lead controls modifications to improve efficiency.
• Take part in the on-call rota, with up to 25% travel.
