Description

• Customer Service: Ensuring a good guest relations environment and handling all casino patrons' complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Regulatory Compliance: Enforcing compliance with regulatory agencies, internal accounting systems, administrative controls, and internal policies and procedures.
• Operational Support: Assisting the General Manager and department managers and supervisors with casino operations during assigned shifts. Oversee the safety, integrity, and presentation of the Dakota Connection Casino property. Safeguard assets and resources.
• Team Management: Overseeing the daily operations of the casino and ensuring a high quality of guest service. Reports compliance deficiencies to departmental head(s). Reports ideas, problems, concerns, recommend changes and channels complaints to respective department head(s).
• Team Leadership: Recognize, train, and supervise casino staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Handles emergencies and notifies senior management as well as any other appropriate agency applicable to the situation.
• Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Team Development: Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, ensuring mutual understanding of desired outcomes.
• Financial Reporting: Reviewing monthly financials to report on the financial health of the Casino operation and explain variances to budgets.
• Administrative Skills: Maintaining a high level of administrative and professional accuracy, accountability, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Assists General Manager with systems development. Reports daily by written report to the General Manager.
• The ideal candidate for this role should possess a minimum of three years of casino experience or hospitality management experience, be able to pass an annual Title 31 exam, and be able to pass a background check and receive a gaming license from the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Gaming Commission.
• Supervisory monitoring of employee compliance concerning gaming regulation; casino, tribal, federal, and state, policies and procedures. To oversee & authorize the proper payment procedures of W 2-G jackpot payouts.
• Maintains cognizance of Dakota Connection Casino programs and policies.
• Cooperates and coordinates with department head(s) and supervisor(s) on matters of collective concern.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job, must be very dependable.
• Complies with all other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Dakota Connection Casino.
