Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field OR 3 years of experience with at-risk youth.
• Knowledge of housing subsidies, rules, regulations, and affordable housing; DC housing market experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a housing goal with clients, assess eligibility for supports, and plan for housing after program completion.
• Build relationships with landlords, housing agencies, and community partners; identify available units and vacancies.
• Assist clients in housing search and application process; conduct initial home inspections and explain leases and tenant rights.
• Support move-in process, coordinate utilities, and assist with budgeting and credit education.
• Refer clients to services to sustain permanent housing after completion; ensure timely documentation in client records.
• Deliver life skills workshops on housing topics and provide crisis intervention when needed.
