Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Tactical Security Officer in Washington, DC. You will read environments, anticipate risk, and act accordingly while protecting people and property.

The role emphasizes observation, rapid reporting, and decisive action. A high school diploma, 3+ years in security/military/law enforcement, and an active US security license are required; uniform is provided, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Security/Military/Law Enforcement experience 3+ years preferred.
• Active unarmed DC Security License required.
• Must be 21+ years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to successfully pass a comprehensive background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service as a top priority.
• Observe, survey the area and report activity at the location.
• Respond rapidly in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed incident reports.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.
• Stand for 8 hours.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check alarms and cameras for proper operation.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Coordinate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure safety and protection of people and property.

Qualifications

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED).
• You have Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of at least 3 years or more.
• You have an active unarmed DC Security License.
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive background and drug screening process.
• First aid certification is an asset.
