DC Truck Driver - Ruler Logistics (Finance)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Capability to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
  • Problem-solving skills in standardized situations
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
  • Effective communication skills for presentations and reports
  • Valid Commercial Class A CDL driver's license
  • Must meet all Federal DOT physical requirements for Class A CDL drivers
  • Familiarity with trucking terminology and procedures
  • Ability to back 53' trailers safely into docks or vendor locations
  • Proficiency in operating equipment such as over-the-road tractors, refrigeration units, dollies, and pallet jacks
  • At least 1 year of active driving experience, including doubles experience or equivalent

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • One year of tractor/trailer driving experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive trucks to deliver goods to stores and customers
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations
  • Inspect trucks before, during, and after trips; report conditions
  • Check refrigeration units for malfunctions
  • Weigh loads accurately
  • Unload merchandise at stores
  • Pick up goods from vendors and verify products and quantities
  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
  • Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
